As I write I see we have 388 of whom 218 are active.

Over the last few weeks it has really been growing and soon we'll hit the 400, then onwards and upwards!:)

Would love to see more members becoming active, surely you have some questions or tales to relate!

New faces, new outlook, so come on folks!:D

Four weeks ago I did a post, above, and we had 388 members, of whom 218 were active, ie, had made at least one post.

Today we've moved on to 454, and 227 active.

Now, at the risk of boring you stiff:(, that means we got more members but a lesser percentage actually posting.

So come on now folks, don't be shy, nobody ever went to PP that didn't have a story to tell, enjoyable or otherwise, or even a wee question to ask?:(

In all seriousness, Porto is right! If you're looking for information and can't find it, just ask...we don't bite! Well, not much anyway! I find the Search function is very good. That's how I started on here - by asking a question and some very helpful people responded!

We love hearing reviews of restaurants, hotels, apartments and things to see and do - so even if it's just a few lines, it's much appreciated!

And if you really want to have a good time - join us in the Tapas Bar!

Just a quick explanation as far as I understand the software:

You appear in the Members List at the top after at least one post.

Active members are those who have posted in the last 30 days which I think is a good way of defining it.

& I'm afraid a few who joined purely to spam us with advertising did get banned but not that many.

I think the reason that fewer people post now or ask questions is a bit of a catch 22. There have been so many questions asked and answered that many people just have to log on and search through without having to ask again.
In one way that's great, it's what the forum is for, but in other ways it does stop the increase of new chat. It's only when new restaurants / hotels / roads (ARGH!!!) open, that new ideas and information become available. As long as the numbers viewing dont drop, we are still going strong!:)
