I can see all the old temporary forums tagged onto the usual forums and there's a load of gibberish at the top of the page.

The site hasn't been hacked again has it??

First of all I'm sorry I didn't respond straight away but it is Sunday & not a working day so I was actually out.

The reason the forum looked odd was that the Gold Community subscription had expired. I have now just renewed & I assume that the Gold facilities will be restored shortly if not I'll report it tomorrow.

What a relief! Everything is back to its neat and tidy self...

It was such a mess as it was today and I think we take that for granted a bit.

A bit like, at the end of the day, retiring to an unmade and messy bed!

Pollensa .......... are we protected rom future hacks ?

ie: is there some form of backup that you or someone reliable has control of ?

or are we in the same situation as we were in before the great hack ?

Just wondering ........... because if we are still potentially vulnerable, I might just haveto take myself some copies of my favourite posts ............... actually just for the record , is that legal or would I be breaking any copyright ?

I am about to close this post as the 'crisis' is now over.

Re CDs query the forum is hosted by ezboard which is why we (Holiday Webs) pay a subscription. Yes they take backups but as was seen when it was hacked a while ago this isn't necessary reliable. So if you want to take your own copies of favourite posts (for your own personal use) then go ahead.
