I see that next year all the Globespan flights from Edinburgh have been changed to 6am which is a bit of a pain as the 8am was perfect but at it does mean that you will be in PP in time for lunch.

Coming home is also very early too...

I saw that, unfortunately Globespan also seem to know that most private rentals are Saturday to Saturday and the weekend flight prices can be £50 a head each way more than otherdays Adding as much as £100 to each flight!

I wish Easyject would hurry up and get there Edinburgh Palma 2009 summer flights up sometime soon!

Booked for next summer with Monarch from Brum 6.35 am out and back at 11am on a thursday as we have booked a Villa thursday to thursday and that saved about £350 for midweek flights.

Does anybody else think that Globespans service has went down hill recently? My parents were out recently and were delayed and then dropped off passengers in Barcelona before going onto Palma.

Ryanair are flying from Edinburgh Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at very competitive prices.

Next summer? I thought that was yet to be established?

Sorry Peter, just me being silly! When you said "next summer? I thought that was yet to be established." It just occurred to be that next summer was yet to be established - considering the lack of it here this year!
Ill keep my silly comments to myself!

I got it B! As it was my post you replied to, a bit of both, as I am looking to book early for next year as the UK summer was a wash out for us and my kids, who sat in their Nan's house half their holidays as it poured down outside.

Only Globespan have issued next years flight details so far and as Lala says, its an early (and expensive) start from Edinburgh of you wish to fly at the weekend this July and August.

Although they may not be all that reliable at the moment .......
They've moved back start of this service from 23rd September to 5th November - all Boeings fault apparently:

BMI baby flights are out for summer 2009 - so called huge savings (£5)

Just checked for next summer and could not get an option for a flight on on the saturday we wanted from Cardiff (strange)

Also noticed that in addition to the hold baggage charge of £7.99 per case each way they are also charging you £3.99 to check in...therefore adding an extra £20 to the flight and taxes.

Will wait for Easyjet I think
