Here is a rough translation from an UH report :-

Quote:
The workers of Acciona in Son Sant Joan could strike during the tourist season and do not rule out mobilizations starting next week. This was indicated by one of the one hundred workers affected by the Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTE) that has applied the company for two months to its permanent staff at the Palma airport after the closure of the airline Niki.

The ERTE was applied last Monday and affects the handling division, that is, ground services, of Acciona in Son Sant Joan. Company and workers negotiated for fifteen days without reaching any agreement, as reported yesterday by employee representatives. However, yesterday talks with Actions were resumed with the aim of bringing positions closer.

«Palma airport breaks records in number of passengers and movement of aircraft year after year, however this does not affect the improvement or maintenance of the jobs of those who make this possible, workers whose work conditions are reduced every time that companies have the slightest chance, "Acciona workers lamented in a statement. They also blamed AENA for the current situation since "their greed has contributed to the precariousness of work at the Palma airport, granting too many autohandling licenses and allowing the existence of three handling companies in a basically seasonal airport".
