The other criteria I think was minimum spend of around £2000, you do not have to join as such. They just send an e-mail saying you are eligible and to quote the number they give you when calling along with your details. As has been said before it is very worthwhile if you have been offered Cumberland it must be a mistake because my son who probably flies around 8 - 10 times a year even called asking if he could become and member and was declined as he did not meet the criteria, it would be very unusual for someone that has only flown twice to be offered automatic membership of a frequent fliers club I would go with the previous comments and say that it is more likely you were offered to join Easyjet Plus.

The criteria are:

- To have booked and flown on 20 or more flights in the last 12 months or

- To have booked and flown on 10 flights or more and spent £1500 in the last 12 months or

- To have booked and flown on an average 10 flights or more for 10 years, with at least one flight every year.

It was the last one that clinched it for us and we just got an Email notifying membership.

We have just had our easyJet plus renewal- £368 for the two of us, compared to £319 last year.

It doesn't seem that long ago when it was a third of that

I've been a member for a year or so. Received an invitation out of the blue. Agree with others it's very handy when the right circumstances arise. I'm intrigued by Snowy and Roman's experiences of price reductions. I haven't had that happen. Did you phone the club number and negotiate a discount, or were you just informed that the price had dropped and you were eligible for a credit?

You have to check the price, and if it's dropped, you phone them and ask for the credit.

It's not designed to be easy!

Re: price reductions after booking.

I've just come off the phone to Flight Club and on 4 bookings got a total credit about £125.

However, to use it, i have to make the booking over the phone and book by Sept 31st.

Not easy, but for £125, worth it.

When you use the credit I would advise that just before phoning you go on line to check the flight and cost. Keep that page on screen. Since being 'in the club' I have had two refunds - each time when I did the phone booking the price was different to what was on the website. There should be no reason why it is more expensive - but a bit of negotiating brought the price down to what was on-line.
