Hola folks,
I am just appealing for any advice/info any of you have about December flights to Palma from Edinburgh, or any Scottish airport. At the moment they appear to be non-existent but I may be missing something.
We REALLY want to spend the festive period in the Port, have wanted to for years but are always scuppered by lack of flights. I have provisionally booked an apartment, and am considering our options - reluctant to spend the extra time and money on flight/stopover options in Gatwick/Stansted but seems the only option.
Thanks for any help!
P.S. I'm not just referring to Easyjet flights, any airline that'll get us to Palma will be embraced whole-heartedly!

I did notice that Ryanair are quoted on the Edinburgh Airport site but as Gers said the flights were withdrawn last winter and currently not available on the Ryanair site.
British Airways are quoted as flying during winter from London City to Palma, however, you need to book 2 separate flights, e.g. Glasgow to Lon City and Lon City to Palma (or maybe if you phone BA it could be booked as a connecting flight?). If you find anything better do post.

If you really want to then find a way
Easyjet from Liverpool are a reasonable price at the moment, Fridays and Mondays in December and the flights times are good. ( Not too early or late)
Not sure where you are in Scotland but Liverpool might be within driving distance the afternoon before flights for a stop over at the airport.
Hampton by Hilton is in the car park (literally) and only 45 seconds walk across the road to check in.
There are usually offers including parking in the multi story which is good for winter.
Or book the cheapest space in the large car park and walk to the hotel.

You cant get a hotel much closer than that and looking at that picture it brings back happy memories and I can almost smell the aviation fuel
I think I need a holiday...

Thanks Luckyone and Mark . And Mark, do really appreciate the attached photo, appreciate you taking the time and effort
Just in from a mad week at school with my class of 30 'lively' 6/7 year olds, absolutely frazzled, think rest of afternoon shall be spent doing more research into my winter retreat!

Oooooh 'nickpaulanoahahahaha', that stings... It is actually the very earliest I have EVER been home from school on a Friday. Kids finish at lunchtime but I am generally in until chucking-out time at 5.30ish. Only left early today as I had left my thank you/farewell presents for my fab student at home so we nipped to my flat to get them; also we had MAD week (reports, open day on Tuesday, whole school picnic for hundreds of us yesterday...).
PLEASE don't give us teachers a hard time, morale low enough in the profession, grrr. No wonder so many of us seek solace, sunshine and sanity in the Port! Best job in the world though in spite of everything
Now I must get back to my schoolwork...
