Default Over rated / Under rated days out

I originally posted this in the Tapas room as part of the Top Ten theme but it occured to me that some of the info may be of use to people looking for days out so have copied it over ........ just my opinion but could be of use .

Oh and to ensure we keep pollensa happy ........ respond here if its comments about the days out but if you want to reply on the top 10 theme, please respond on that thread in the Tapas room

Puerto Pollensa and Majorca,

Over rated / Under rated

Large aquapark near Arenal – pricy, dirty, saw rats, dodgy clientele ( British I’m afraid to say ) /
Aqua park in Alcudia, good price, nice compact size, reasonably clean, good variety of slides, short bus ride from PP

Son Amar Dinner Show – tacky acts , grotty food, cheap plonk which is all inclusive so you have to drink it and it loses you a day of your hols /
Casino near Magaluf – good dinner show, reasonable food and chance to win some Euros

Majorcan produce and craft shop at Palma Airport , overpriced mass produced goods /
La Granja Manor House – nice gardens, good selection of craftspeople, chance to buy authentic goods and free samples of traditional food and wine

Deia – pretentious with overpriced restaurants /
Valdemosa – nice day out, plenty to see

Inca Market – wears out your feet traipsing round it’s so large and once you’ve seen a quarter of the stalls the rest are all duplicates of the same tacky fake T shirts, bags and tablecloths /
Puerto Pollensa Market – just the right size and combination of tourist tack and authentic market

Portal Nous – billed as millionaires playground but no character or soul, some nice hotels but quite tacky in parts /
CSV – dramatic scenery and bags of character

Driving to Palma and finding a parking spot /
Drive to Soller and take the fantastic wooden train to Palma

Glass Bottom Boat, can’t see a thing and nearly get choked by the engine fumes /
Boat to Formentor – nice little trip and opportunity to snorkel in the clear waters once there

Ben and Jerry’s /
The Helado’s cabin on the roundabout

Burger King /
El Kiosko
