Default Arta

Hi everyone

Please could I pick your brains?

We have had a query about Arta and wondered if any of you had been or knew anything about it (unfortunately we've not had the opportunity to go yet).

I think the chap just wants to know what sort of place it is as he likes a walk around old towns etc.

Any info would be great.

Thanks in advance

Toni

Been once. So briefly;

A pretty old town, a la Pollenca, quite upmarket shops and very German.

That might help a little.........

If your friend enjoys discovering old towns and villages he will definitely enjoy Artá.

Lots of quiet back streets and if he manages to walk up to the San Salvador church (where there is a snack bar ) he will enjoy the wonderful views from the church grounds.

Well worth the visit.

We have visited Arta quite a few times. There is a pleasant, pedestrianised street with shops. Especially nice when the Christmas lights are up. The walk up to the church & views at the top are stunning. Well worth a visit. Close by is Cala Ratjada, which we have always found pleasant. The ruins at Capdepera are also amazing with lovely views.

Lovely old Mallorcan town. They have a decent market on Tuesday and some lovely little local shops.
The ruined castle at Cap Depera is brilliant for history buffs and the beach town of Cala Rajada is not far although is very German.
The lovely beach at Canyamel is not too far either.
