Default Anywhere showing the Olympics opening ceremony

Dont normally watch TV while on holiday but would like to watch the opening ceremony live and dont have a TV in our appt. Is there anywhere in PP that would be showing it on a big screen?

I should think that the Sports Bars may be i.e. Bar Med (are definitely showing the Olympics Events) & Match Point.

Does anyone local know?

I'm all geared up to watch it here in the UK. Have heard from someone who saw the Weds rehearsal that it is amazing.

Doubt if you'll have any problem finding the events you want, plenty of bars have the BBC, and as the UK are hosting there are something like 26 HD channels showing all the sports and not just events featuring UK athletes.

I think you will find it harder to find somewhere not showing it to be honest.
I only have Spanish TV and on all channels news bulletins they are constantly showing what is going on in London so there is obviously a great deal of interest in the Olympics. I am sure there will be full coverage of the opening ceremony wherever there is a TV, enjoy .

If you are in the UK, selected Vue cinemas are showing the ceremony live tonight, on (obviously) a BIG cinema screen plus super sound. And it's free. they are taking a feed from the BBC - just like what you get at home but BIGGER!!
The programme starts at 7pm, so you will have to get your skates on.
Any subscribers to the Daily Telegraph can get reserved tickets - details in todays Daily Telegraph.

Hope yu don't mind the link, Sparky, but it's nowt at all to do with PP or holidays!! and time is short if you want to check it out.

There will be further free showings as the Games progress.

Default Freesat

The extra 24 BBC olympic channels are available, free, on Freesat

Olympic Games - freesat

I think Sky has these as well.

100% agree, wasn't really that exited or bothered about the games but must say that is one of the greatest well thought out & impressive things I have ever witnessed. Apart from beckham I must say, no show without punch.
