The Catalan regional parliament voted in July to ban bullfights as of this year so not sure how this will affect the one held in Alcudia, does anyone know the date when the ban actually comes into force?

Alcudia's bullfight takes place during the Sant Jaume fiestas and has traditionally always been on the day of Sant Jaume, which is 25 July.
The bullfighting ban in Catalonia is to be implemented in 2012. It has no effect on bullfights in Majorca, though the Balearics regional government has spoken about there being at least a debate as to whether bullfighting should be banned on the island.
