Default Climbing trees???

Trying to make arrangements for a flying weekend for next Jan that would include some business I suggested to my contact either Saturday 10th or Saturday 17th Jan.
"Oh no", came the reply. "17th January is a festival here in Pollenca and everyone will be climbing a tree!!"
I wasn't quite sure how to respond to this, so I said "OK let's make it the 10th then"

Anyone got any ideas at all what this is about?? :\

Default climbing trees

We are back out on 24th to 30th September
and then not until February
I have actually heard of the festivities you refer to in January. There are some good events just before the start of lent children dressing up with a parade in the square and a street parade in Pollensa Town which is good fun with some interesting floats.
Bit of culture :eek

There's actually no need to go to the main site. Links to all the pages on puertopollensa.com are listed in the left-hand column of this page & every page of the Forum.

As PollensaMan explained just look for the section 'Background Info' & then three topics down you will see 'Events' - click on that & you'll be on the Events page. It explains about the Pi de Sant Antoni fiesta in Pollensa where an enormous fir tree is taken through the town, through the church to the main square. More info on Mallorca web - Click Here

Hope that helps!
