Default Top ten Mallorca DK books

The post for this book seems to be missing. So I thought I'd re-review it again (gets my post counts up :lol ).

Bought this book prior to going to puerto Pollensa for the first time :

DK Eyewitness top 10 guides
Top 10 Mallorca
ISBN 0-7513-4857-0

This guide book lists the top ten of everything, We found it useful for our first trip. But on hindsight found we didn't agree with some of their choices for the top tenplaces to eat in and around PP. How anybody could rate the Tex-Mex higher than some of the other places in PP beats me.
A good first time guide, but take everything they say about eating out with a opinch of salt . Your better off reading this forum for the best places to eat.

As I think I posted before I think this book & its recommendations are dire & wrote to DK to complain. I very much doubt that the 'choices' are objective. Stick to the Time Out guide - still my favourite.

I agree pollensa, As I said in missing posts I think there has been a little naughtness with DK when you see the places recomended in PP some are owned by the same person.
Good for trips and sight seeing but wouldn't trust their guide to places to eat. You'd be far better of reading the Forum!!!!.
