Default Clearing The Beach

They are starting to take the sun-beds off the beach!
The tractor was near the Uyal this morning taking a trailer full off the beach.
Beginning of the end of the season?????

Cheers!

There are still plenty of beds available, just further along by tamarells and also along the pine walk area.

Cath, there are definitely beds on that bit of the beach. I am sure they will leave a reduced number of beds on until the end October. No point in having as many as are needed in the summer at this time of the year.

Thank you Lollipop..between the 4 of us we have not got a good hip/knee or back between us - it would be a good show watching us if we had no beds on the beach

Its ok Cath, we were on the beach on Saturday, there are still plenty of beds, they seem to be taking one row out all along, so only two instead of three, not many takers though so that may hasten the final removal of them!

I was on the beach facing Pascalino all last week and still plenty of beds, although very little being used, the weather was certainly good enough.

I've been doing my bit clearing the beach this morning of dog poo and glass.
If the council stuck a worker on the small beaches and tow on the larger stretches it could be clear in a day!

Yes, like you Sunshinedrive, we usually have a good go at cleaning the beach up a bit in front of the apartment when we come out Spring.....

Bottle tops, bits of broken glass, pieces of fibre glass, bits of rope, plastic bags, lumps of wood, wire, fishing line, paper, cardboard etc etc all go in a nice big carrier bag and then in the general rubbish bin.

We feel like we are doing our bit for Puerto Pollensa, even if the tide brings another load back the next day

Well done you but why the hell should a tourist he having to do that to clean the beach? I was out over Christmas and New Year and the amount of dog mess on the beaches was horrendous. It's about time that the local town hall got a hold of the cleanliness problem both on the beaches and streets.

I do accept that the bin provision and emptying has improved but heavy on the spot fines need to be issued and soon. Hitting people in the pocket is the only way to deal with it.

You think the locals would take more pride in their beautiful location, wouldn't you ? I have to say, that I get the feeling that some resent the intrusion of the tourists, while others go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Just walking around the beach I front of the daina/brisa's and I could do it in a day then keep on top of it as week as the others throughout the year. Walking and enjoying the sun, yes please!

Let's go into partnership and clean the whole of the north east beaches then expand to the island then the whole Balearics!
