Default Toilets on the beach

Dear All,

Last year at PP we saw that a toilet block had been built on the beach but it wasn't open. The block was at the Llenaire end of the beach in the Hotel Galeon/Uyal area.

Does anyone know if they are open yet? It would be great if they are as it would save us trips back to our apartment or the local bar!

Default toilets

If you mean the wooden building on the beach we also thought these were much needed toilets but found it to be the Red Cross hut for lifeguards ect. Good hunting.

I thought the toilets were the block on the other side of the road in the children's play park area. As I think that Tamarells beach has a blue flag this year, I assumed the toilets must be open. Or du they just have to exist to earn the flag?

Pollensa, i think it's the councel and awarding contracts saga again. I have never seen the loos by the the play park open but as i visit early May and October i assumed it was a high season thing. It does seem to be a hot political potato along with the beds and brollies.

If a smaller resort like CSV can offer good clean toilet facilities, I think it is a great pity that the Council does not sort something out for PP. I think maybe they depend on us using the bars and hotels.

Default loo loo

The ugly building housing public toilets was built on a children's park area opposite the beach and in front of the Guardia Civil HQ. It has never been opened because the council say they cannot find anyone to take up the maintenance contract.
Yes everyone here thinks that is as pathetic as it sounds, too. Roll on election time!

Thanks for this - I think I may be talking about another hut as I think I know the one you are talking about. Or it could just be wishful thinking on my part!

Red face

I think i know the one's your talking about, they are sort of opposite the Galleon Hotel. The toilets are on the road side of the hut but didn't appear to be open last year. Hopefully better luck this year as its a pain trying to find somewhere for young children.

Yes that is the block I mean - and I agree with you about trying to find somewhere for young children and usually at very short notice! We'll be in PP soon so once back I can report back.

Marilyn do you mean the loos on the Molins beach ?

The last time I ventured into those I wish i hadn't ...and certainly won't ever again until they have had a major clean up operation
