I have just seen the report of complaints about PP beach in today's (yesterday's?) Majorca Daily Bulletin, and was wondering the same thing myself. They have had very bad storms this winter, also at Easter. We are going there next month, and I have been dreading the thought that the Pine Walk is now a Pineless Walk. I wouldn't fancy loads of seaweed either!

Hope somebody can give us a report.

Reply sent in by Ann, a resident:

They (the beaches) are fine except for the area down by Llenaire which still needs cleaning up, the problem there is that there is a dispute over damage to the environment (sea and plant life) that may be caused by dredging up sand from the sea bed to replace that lost during the storm. But other beaches are fine, smelly sea-weed-free and enough pine trees to go around!

Burger bar doesn't appear to have turned the port into Blackpool! No sign of McDonald's Golden Arches either.
