Default Pizza

Hi, we are coming to Pollensa again in 4 weeks time, which will be our 8th visit in a row, with 3 children 5,9, and 11. I was wondering if anyone could let me know where there is a good Pizza restaurant. (Which my 5 year old thinks is one of his '5 a day') Not looking for something really expensive, usually spend most of the time BBQ ing , but try and eat out a few times. but in all the years we have been coming we havent located one. We stay in a villa near Pollensa town, so either Pollensa or in the Port would be great. Hope someone can help, and then I can kep the kids quiet when we arrive.

Hi Dunk,

In Pollenca you can go to Can Olesa which does a great pizza, that is in the main square. In the port you have Little Italy on Pine Walk which I never eaten in as it is always busy so we can never get a table - so I guess it must be good.

I'm off on Saturday for our 10th visit I'll have a look out for some Pizza places and let you know.

Cheers

Andrew

Laroc, around the corner from Little Italy is good. Whilst in Pollensa there is Trencadora. Just put the names in the 'search' on here to get loads of 'reports' from other contributors.

Hi Dunk,

You could try Laguna, up behind the Illa d'Or hotel. Really good pizzas (about 7-8 euros each, plus a good range of other stuff. If you eat early (before 7pm) or in the afternoon, the kids can play in the pool while you wait.

You can't beat Little Italy for me, great view, tremendous pizza, I highly recommend the Espagna, chorizo and egg!

Booking definitely advised though, especially for a table outside, can be very busy at times, and I have even tried to book a table for later that day, only to be told they are full already!

The Hamiltons.

Would definitely recommend Scacco Matto - it's in the square just off the main road in Pollensa. They also do great pasta and a lunchtime buffet for 12 euros at weekends or 10.25 euros during the week - all you can eat, and I guarantee you will come away full to bursting point!
It includes a drink and coffee too. You can't have pizza as part of that deal though.

They do takeaway pizzas too. Trencadora is also very good and fantastic value, with a beautiful garden terrace. Both places have a proper wood-fired pizza oven, which makes such a difference.
