Default Roy

Have just found out Roy Reagan is leaving the port after 20 years serving the thirsty public. I for one will think he will be sorely missed and the port will be a poorer place without characters like Roy. I would like to wish him all the best and good luck to his future. I believe there is a "bit of a do" at Hardleys to send him on his way, wish I could be there, Cheers Roy.
Phil

Yes Phil i agree with you, Roy is a bit of an institution here and has worked in so many bars over the years. We have had many good times and laughs with him and wish him well back in the UK.

I first encountered Roy at my first visit to Trotters, many years ago.

"Can I have a beer, please" I asked.

"Small beer or a pint?" said Roy.

I thought for a moment and Roy said in his heavy London accent....

"You on 'oliday?"

"Yes" I replied.

"Well, You'll be 'avin a pint then!"

No arguing with Roy. Best wishes to him

Duncan

Well it was a night of very mixed emotions, a few speeches were made which brought laughter but also tears. The most important thing was that there was a really good turn out for Roy. Bless you Roy, you are a legend and will be missed. xx
