Default Fussy Vegetarian in need of Romance.

hi all, advice required please.

Can someone recommend a romantic restuarant for a fussy vegetarian?

Its my wifes birthday whilst we are on holiday in a couple of weeks but she's a fussy eater so probably pizza & pasta places will be safest choice.)

Also will it be best to book, its 1st week October we coming out and 4th is her birthday so a Monday,if that makes any difference to booking

thanks folks.

Trencadora in the old town has the most beautiful, romantic garden - lots of choices of pizza and pasta including plenty of vegetarian options (the pizzas are made in a wood-burning oven). Even if the weather wasn't that great the interior is also pretty stunning. To get there you stand in the main square, walk towards the church and then take the right turn - it's down there on your left. You'll probably hear it before you see it as it has a dramatic water feature in the garden.

It's probably a good idea to book as some restaurants, especially the less touristy ones, do close on a Monday.

Little Italy is in a wonderful position on the Pine Walk, where you can almost feel the sea lapping your toes. They do the best pizza's in the port.

Sorry no link for Little Italy but someone may be able to provide a phone no.

Alternately, although I'm not sure if they do pizza/pasta dishes is Restaurant Stay with a superb view looking out over the bay of Pollensa. You get that fine dining experience without the stiffiness. MDD at 33€ is extremely good value for great quality food.

Stay Restaurant

If you did want to go to Trencadora the only number I can find is 972 531 859. This place has gone through a couple of reincarnations in the last few years - first of all it was Trencadora doing quite inventive Mediterranean food, then for a brief while it was Babel bar, and now it has been taken over by the people who also own Cantonet in the old town (also very nice, by the way, with a good choice of Mediterranean dishes - would have thought they would have veggie options). Cantonet's number is 971 530 429 - I'm sure they would put you in touch with Trencadora.

Another pizza/pasta place you might want to try is Scacco Matte in the old town - a fantastic selection of veggie options and very good value. Probably the setting isn't quite what you'd want for a special meal but it is fantastic for everyday.

Tribeca has a two veggie options for both starters & mains, had both this year & was, as usual delighted.

Default Vegetarian food in PP

Another suggestion for you would be the lovely garden restaurant in Pension Bellavista in Carrer des Monges. They do delicious freshly squeezed juices and snacks there and also have a daytime MDD and a set evening menu. All the food is vegetarian and a lot of the produce in organic and locally sourced.
They also have a full bar service - it's worth going for a drink there just to look at the lovely mosaic bar and other pieces of artwork.

Stay Restaurant
I agree with you whaley about Stay. They will always adapt anything on the menu to suit your tastes and usually have a pasta dish as one of the starters on the MDD. Had a lovely vegetable ravioli there last night. My daughter in law who is vegetarian had the MDD last week and had two veggie starters ...one as a starter and the other, which they doubled the size of, served as a main. Still for me the best restaurant in the Port for both location, service and food

Would also highly recommend Trencadora in the old town. As Kate says it has reopened with it's original name and is now run by by the owners of Cantonet. The menu is predominately pizzas and pastas, and the pizza I had the other day was amazing...equally as good as Little Italy, and the courtyard setting is very romantic and pretty.

Default La Trencadora number

Hi, the telephone number for La Trencadora is +971531599. This is a great place with real Spanish atmosphere but we'd also recommend the specialist Pension Bellavista eating in their beautiful garden. The owner, Coloma really makles you feel welcome in a very 'laid back' establishment.

Hi Lorenzo

Where is Carrer des Monges please? Its our anniversary when we are out in a couple of weeks and would like somewhere special (seem to be lots of options at the moment!)

Thanks
