Hi can anyone suggest places to eat prior to 7pm? We are out in few days staying on Pine Walk but with two small children who are unable to stay up too late. We are looking to eat an evening meal earlier than most of PPs restaurants start serving.

Little Italy is on our list but apart from that???? Would like to try Nicos not sure if they serve all day??

If you really fancy one of he restaurants that don't start serving until after 7pm you could always try the "when in Spain" tack and go for a mid day siesta, that way he children wouldn't get too tired if they ate a little later ..... always worked for us

But if that really is a no no, Stay serve a lovelly lunch; I think Laguna serve all day ...... the atmosphere is laid back and not "fine dining" but the food very good and very good value. Also G&G ( Or is it C&G ? ) seem to serve all day and also have a special childrens corner in the back away from the traffic

When our daughter was much younger we used to give her an early evening snack and then she would eat with us or alternatively she would have an early meal and then have a snack when we went out - garlic bread or a big ice cream.

We were in a villa then so it was a bit easier as we had a kitchen.

In answer to your original question though we stayed fairly near to Tolos this year and I noticed that they were serving food at around 6pm. You want to go for the restaurants that have kitchens that are open all day. Another acutally, is Can Josep on the front.

Los Pescadores on the Pine Walk serves food all day - at least it does in season. Quite a few of the places that do snack-type meals (salads, pa amb oli, baguettes etc) also serve all day if you only want something light. Eating early does tend to be a bit of a solitary experience though as whenever we have done it we are the only occupied table. As other posters have said you will see plenty of families with young children out quite late at night - you do seem to get into a different pace of life in Mallorca and even toddlers seem happy to keep going late into the evening. Restaurants are also quite good about bringing children's meals quickly so you can get them fed and settled before starting your own meal. I don't know how small your children are but if they are 3+ and you ate at one of the Pine Walk restaurants with direct beach access they can play on the beach quite safely and within sight while you enjoy your meal. There are usually quite a few other children doing this so they will quickly make new friends!

Hi Pluto

We have recently had my father in law to stay and he liked to have an early dinner and we ate at El Casinet on the pine walk, next to the Daina Hotel as the kitchen is open all day.

Alos Hells Kitchen is open from 6.30 and the menu in there is brilliant and very child friendly.

thanks there are some great tips here, we've tried the mid afternoon nap but our youngest will only nap a short while in afternoon, too worried about missing something I guess :D. Then come 7pm he's desperate for bed LOL :)
