Live music bars

I'll be in the Port for my honeymoon at the beginning of August. It's been 4 years since my last visit and, in the past, I visited with my family in low season and we generally had a quiet time after dinner at night in the Square. However, my partner and I prefer live music and wonder if there are any bars that host decent popular musical entertainment for discerning 40-somethings at that time of year?

Off hand I can only think of the Pub Imperial, Nostalgia, the Saturday dance at the Daina. Oh, and you can. perhaps, strike it lucky at the Puerto Azul but I haven't been in there for years so I don't know if they still lay entertainment on. As I don't look for much beyond people watching nowadays I am a bit out of date.

Probably not what you were looking for but last August The Daina had an Elvis impersenator one night and Abba tribute band another both were good although from memory I dont think the Elvis impersanator did an awful lot of singing

Live music in the port

I'd vote for any venue that has The Hustlers playing. They are really good! (as long as you like rock music played really well)

They were at Mulligans twice per week last year and are currently playing some gigs at Hostal Paris. They often have guest musicians joining them so the sets often vary quite a lot.

'Elvis' at Mulligans was also really good fun last year - not so much for his similarity to Elvis but more for his showmanship! A great laugh!

Think Mulligans closed last year as far as I know won't reopen in same format.

Just from reading The talk of the north, it seems they may have a regular saturday night slot in the irish bar Shamrocks in Puerto Alcudia. Nothing mentioned for PP though.

Are they good? What do they play?
