We had a lovely meal at the Hotel Sis Pins - sitting right down on the water's edge which provided a lovely breeze on a very humid night.

The food was delicious and the portions extremely generous and we thought very reasonably priced. 45 euros for a starter and 2 mains, a large beer, bottle of Binissalem Red and water (bread rolls no charge)

I had delicious duck L'Orange which was filled with sultanas and pears I think. It was cooked to perfection and absolutely enormous - a half a duck!!! I could maybe have struggled through as it was so delicious but the yummy veg were my downfall. Side portion of crunchy green beans, cauliflower cheese and a baked potato stuffed full of sour cream and chives. Food like mum makes on a sunday! OH had chicken stuffed with mushrooms - 2 chicken breasts and all the same veg!!! We were the ones who were stuffed!!!!

Service fine although I asked for a break and was given the bill instead - lost in translation I think - but probably just as well as a pud would have undoubtedly requied a lie down in a darkened room! :o

A great spot and yum food. Worth a visit but my advice is skip lunch!

Lala :D

Thanks for your post Lala!

Can just imagine sitting down at the water's edge, lovely!:)

And for giving us a report on the Sis Pins, not a place that's had many reviews, maybe more will go now and try it.

On to read your next report now!;)

Thanks for this Lala. We have often walked past the Sis Pins but have never actually ventured in, thinking it would be too expensive given the outfits that the waiters wear. When we are in PP next we will make a point of eating there. :)
