Closing time? - Late Night Bars
Hi everyone,
my sister has just reurned from Ca'n Picafort, they had a nice time but complained that most bars seemed to close up at midnight.
Is this the same in Puerto Pollensa?

To be honest by midnight i have had enough, but there are bars that stay open later you just have to look for them. Usually they are in the back streets, i know a lot of hotel/restaurant staff use them after they have finished work. Sorry can't remember any of the names though.

Rustic Bar on the Formentor Road is where restaurant staff go after they finish. Stays open very, very late...

Pascalinos on the front is open late. One night when the Miramar was closing they suggested we move next door to Pascalinos and we have stopped on the way home before around 1ish for a night cap. Not sure what time they stay open until though. I asked and was told "I can't go home until the customers leave." not sure what that means!

Rustic Cafe
The Rustic Cafe is a great place for late night drinks. Miguel, the owner, plays great music there too. Loads of guys who work in the local restaurants are often in there for a night cap and a chat. Plenty of women go there too - it's just a lively mix of whoever is around at the time. The decor is a bit quirky - maybe not to everyone's taste but all in all a great place to hang out. Open till the early hours for most of the year too.

O,hara,s, Mulligans, the Australian bar and the horrible R bar all open to 4am. I know as I stay in the square and they can sometimes be quite noisy. Gpm

Where abouts on Formentor Road is Rustic Bar? Is it the first floor bar opposite Hibiscus or is it further up past Oro Playa?

Rustic Cafe
Hi Marilyn
Yes, it's abit further along from the Oro Playa complex on the Formentor road. You'll find it a bit further along from the Coral Restaurant and the small MonteCarlo supermarket.
If you get as far as The Pines Cafe then you've gone too far!
It's sort of two streets back from Little Italy restaurant which is on the Pine Walk.
There'a nice evening out - a lovely meal in Little Italy and then a few scoops in the Rustic Cafe!
Hope that you find it ok.
We'll all be there in a couple of days time. Might have to drown our sorrows if the weather turns out as bad as the forecast is making out!

The first floor bar opposite Hibiscus used to be a fantastic late night music bar called 'Aniares' specialising in cocktails. Don't know what it's like nwo though!

No not there - it's not on a corner. Come out of Little Italy (your back towards the sea), turn right on to Formentor Rd & I think you'll see it on the right. It's not very noticeable as it doesn't open until 9-10 pm.
