Ca Les Monges (Los Faroles New Bar).
 

Hi Guys can anyone tell me if the new bar next to Los Faroles has opened yet ?

I believe they were still working on it last week ;).

it wasn't yesterday but they are not far off. maybe by the weekend or next week.

The manager if the new venue will be the younger Francisco, firmerly of Brisa Marina. Theyvhope to open early next week, he told me.

Just another place to stop for a drink :) Will definitely try in the summer.

We just had a guided tour of the new place. It looks really nice and Im sure will be a great success. A more “Cafe” style venue with tapas and lighter stuff. I think its going to be good.

It is now open and called Ca Les Monges, drink prices look very reasonable for a front line establishment.

Is the upper terrace used?

Doesn't look like it.

So, Young Francisco will be manager bless him.

It was a long standing joke every time we went into Brisa Marina that he would address my late wife as "Senorita". To which I would always reply,
If you think she looks like a Senorita, you need glasses.
Oh how we laughed :(

Now if He is manager of the new place it makes me wonder if Juan (owner of brisa Marina) has his finger in that particular pie.:confused:

Yes he does, he also owns Los Faroles ;).

I'd forgotten about Faroles. I knew he'd been in there for years, but was never sure if he owned that one.:)

I was under the impression that the owner of Brisa Marina had transferred/sold Los Faroles to his son-in-law who then went on to sell half his share to the chef so that they would be equal partners.

They have rented the corner from the Church and have managed to inaugurate what is, in my opinion, a very nice, and by the looks of it, very successful business.

Hmmmmm, we will be staying directly above Los Faroles. Anybody know if this is a noisy bar with music or what time it closes?

From what I have seen and experienced it is quite a reserved, quiet(ish) bar (the world cup is on though:eek:)
