As you climb the steps up to Calvario in Pollensa there is a small museum/art gallery on the right hand side, near the bottom.I know it has very restricted opening hours.Could anybody tell me what days/hours it is open.Thanks in advance.

Think it's 10 til 1 Mon to Fri in winter, ring them on 971532867 or e mail them, they have a web site in English (Marti Vincens museum)

Joey, I started a thread on this last June under Excursions (not sure how to add the link here) and it seems the museum is closed. We popped in there every time we visited the town (also quite handy as there was a loo in there!!)

I thought people might like to know that I emailed Marti Vincens Museum and got a very prompt response from Martina R Vicens advising that they were open as follows

"We are open from 11h to 18:00h all days but tuesday
And 10 to 16:00h on Sunday"

Also
"You can also visit our textile factory at Rotonda Can Berenguer (Pollença)
We are open all day every day in there"

Perhaps we just went on the wrong day last year. We are out next month so will visit again but not on a Tuesday!

These opening times are slightly different from those previously posted. I just checked and we did visit on a Tuesday last year.

We visited the museum yesterday.It is well worth a look in as you ascend the steps to the church.Some of the pictures and sculptures are really weird but very interesting and one of the rooms has the most fantastic ceiling.

there is also Hito, a split level gallery in a former monastery at Calvario 10, run by the very friendly New Yorker Danica Wilcox, open daily, pop in & say hello

You can also visit the exhibition "bleak Landscape" of Amparo in the convent Church and Sardinian "sounds of stone and iron" sculptures by Pedro Flores and Juan March gardens in the cloister of Santo Domingo.
