La Boca

Hiya,

I will post this and sparky can either edit or delete, cos it is NOT exactly a plus report... more an ' in progress' one, I hope ! :)

La Boca - from the port heading to Pollenca, right hand side on the roundabout just befor Pollenca. Argentinian Rest, specialising in steaks. English spoken.

Ate in La Boco last nite - food & service great, pricey but I felt worth it.
Good Parking. Access from the roadside - ramp. Clear access into and around the terrace & restaurant. Terrific loos, millions of space and aids.
BUT, and if ur reading this La Boca - MOVE THE CIGARETTE MACHINE !!!!
Wheelchair will not actually get by it to access the fabulous loos ! Those with limited mobility should be able to manage but if it is a totally wheelchair bound guest it's a NONO at the moment. Did speak to them about it and it has been noted... so please update if this changes cos it is a really nice restaurant.

Friends have just returned from PP & have been raving about the helpful attitiude they experienced with waiters & hotel staff. When asked if they had disabled facilities waiters would produce ramps & help manoeuvre the wheelchair wherever they wanted to go. A mention to Can Josep & Iru for their friendliness & help.
So if you aren't sure about somewhere please ask the staff, as there is usually a speedy solution to any problems. :)

Disabled Loos in Soller

Hiya Folks,

Visit to Soller today and restaurants/bars around the main Square area (the one the Train goes thru) - loos are either up or down stairs so wheelchair access is a real problem.

However, make ur way to the Train Station,(follow train lines uphill from the Square) - enter main door ( 1 step) turn left into the Joan Miró Art Gallery follow it thru the ramps and it brings u out on the level of the disabled loo. (any probs ask in the gift shop , main enterance, turn right and they will direct u.)

Sounds complicated but isn't plus u get to do a bit of culture enroute !

Miriam

Can't believe it never been said but Nicos is the best by far for disabled access and toilets too . It's just off the square opposite Tiberi.
